Chemical Peels and Microdermabrasion
Refinity® Peel
Refinity® is a medical strength AHA without the high
known skin sensitivities that tend to occur with this type of peel. It is a high
strength (70%) glycolic acid, with the addition of COSMODERM-7™ that increases
cellular renewal, ultimately improving skin tone and texture with a nearly indiscernible
level of peeling. Great for first time peel or sensitive skin.
TCA Peel (Tricholoracetic Acid)
TCA is a medium depth chemical peel that will improve color,
freshness, texture, skin tone, and fine wrinkles. It will also improve superficial
discoloration, such as age spots. It exfoliates dead skin cells that are not
naturally exfoliated as we age due to the slowing of our body’s rejuvenating
functions. It promotes increased circulation, stimulating your skin cells to
rejuvenate and build up collagen and elastin fibers. Each peel is followed by
C.L. Therapy to further stimulate collagen production and improve
skin texture and poor size. Safe on people with olive and light brown skin.
AFA Peel (Amino Fruit Acid)
The AFA peel is a unique topical anti-oxidant similar to
Alpha Hydroxy Acids that is derived from the sugar cane plant. However, they
have a different molecular structure containing amino acids which naturally occur
in the skin. This peel is a powerful exfoliant that helps to retain the natural
moisture in your skin. Because of their amino acid content, these organic peels
cause minimal skin irritation as compared to traditional superficial peels. This
peel is ideal for dehydrated skin.
Acne Treatments (Jessner’s, Salicylic)
Our Professional Jessner’s and Salicylic peels are
specific acne treatment solutions but are equally effective at combating the
effects of photo aging and pigmentation problems. The Jessner’s
is a medium depth peel that is made from Salicylic and Lactic acid, and Resorcinol.
It provides superior exfoliating properties and is aggressive but predictable.
The Salicylic peel provides strong exfoliation and deep stimulation that results
in increased cellular turnover and superior all-around peeling for acne conditions.
C.L. Therapy is included to help kill the bacteria that cause most
types of acne.
Hyperpigmentation and Rosacea Treatments
Spa Helios uses a combination of topical products with C.L. Therapy to provide
relief from many pigmentary conditions and for the treatment of rosacea and hyperpigmentation
caused by sun damage. Combined with an at home skin care regimen, the appearance
of photo aged skin and distended capillaries can be reduced dramatically in a
matter of weeks.
Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is a quick, non-invasive mechanical exfoliation
process that is sometimes called the “lunchtime peel.” It gently
removes only the very top layers of damaged skin by delivering very small, pure
aluminum oxide crystals through a closed loop system that operates on the principal
of a vacuum. The technique gently exfoliates and resurfaces the skin, promoting
the formation of new, smoother, clearer skin. It is usually performed on the
face and neck, but can be performed on other parts of the body, such as the backs
of the hands.
C.L. Light Therapy
Spa Helios features a powerful Concentrated Light Therapy (C.L.) system
that has been included with several package/series treatments to enhance the
primary treatment. NASA studies have concluded that using C.L. Light Therapy
promotes faster healing through increased circulation. C.L. Light Therapy provides
better results when used in combination with other therapies.
